WASHINGTON, DC – Barron’s has named Steven D. Lockshin, Convergent Wealth Advisors’ founder and CEO, as #2 on its annual list of the Top 100 Independent Financial Advisors in the country.  Managing Directors George Dunn and Lori Van Dusen were also ranked among the nation’s top 100 advisors.

In his interview with Barron’s, Lockshin discussed Convergent’s open-architecture approach to wealth management, which has remained consistent since the firm’s inception.  “A lot of the clients coming to us now are here because we can say we are working for them, not working trying to sell products, he said.”   Lockshin also emphasized Convergent’s focus on building strong, long-lasting client relationships.  “These days, we're benefiting a lot from the trust we've earned over the last decade or so,” he said.

The Barron’s ranking, which includes both registered investment advisors and advisors at boutique brokerages, is based upon each advisor’s assets under management, revenues the advisor generates for their firm and the quality of their practices.
