Ken Handy joined Convergent in 2007 and is responsible for leading the firm’s marketing and new business efforts in the New York metropolitan region. With over a decade of experience in client service, Ken tailors comprehensive wealth management plans designed to meet the individual needs and financial goals of his diverse and sophisticated portfolio of clients. He advises on several complex wealth management issues, including investment policy development, portfolio construction and asset allocation, risk management, and tax and estate planning.
Prior to joining Convergent, Ken spent several years as director of European business development for The Rowe Companies, based in London. In that capacity, he designed and executed a novel business strategy to create a sustainable export market for Rowe products, encompassing the UK and Ireland, continental Europe, and the Middle East.
Ken received his Bachelors of Science degree in Business from Virginia Tech University. He holds the Certified Investment Management AnalystSM designation, administered by Investment Management Consultants AssociationSM and taught in conjunction with The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. He also holds the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Series 65, 63, and 7 licenses.
